For this Swirl troupe performance we were all adorned in Assiut robes and headdresses. Davina is in Royal Blue, Velinda is in Black and Gold, redvelvet is in a lovely Rust colored robe, and I am in Purple.

I always enjoy attending the Haunted Hafla Adira and it was so much fun to be a part of the show.

6th Annual Bay Area Belly Dance Festival

Bay Area Belly is an independent Belly Dance Festival. This event is open to the general public, dancers and dance enthusiasts who would like to experience the enchanting atmosphere of dance and live music from the Middle East.

At Angelicas in Redwood City, talented Belly Dancers from all over the Bay Area are coming together for a day of great entertainment. On Sunday, April 10th, the doors open at 11:00 am with dancing from 11:45 am to 6:30 pm. At 3:00 pm there is an exciting Live Music hour with music this year by local band Tahneen.

Along with fabulous Belly Dancing, shop the Bazaar of Belly Dance items on sale from local vendors selling an array of belly dance costuming, work out gear, jewelry and many other belly dance essentials.

Angelicas is a wonderful entertainment venue located in Downtown Redwood City at 863 Main St, close to all day parking. Angelicas serves food and beverages all day to add to the enjoyment of the day and now has a full bar.

General Admission $15.00 at the door or in advance online at the Angelicas website.

Festival Mission
The mission of Bay Area Belly Festival is to provide a place to perform, network and enjoy a day in the company of other dancers, students and belly dance/dance enthusiasts.

Swirl Duet in Prince Ali Show January 2016

Here is a clip of the Prince Ali Swirl duet- Dawn Devine and I were in last week. As the "Representative of All Things GOOD" I wore Blue Assiut and as the "Representative of All Things EVIL" Davina wore red. When we dance it "straight" it's lovely.. when we wacked it up.. it got very very silly.. Enjoy!

On Sunday, 1/31/16, Swirl, this incarnation composed of Davina - Dawn Devine and Myself, are featured dancers in Sudeep Johnson's extravaganza of theater and dance, Prince Ali: Good Prince, Bad Prince!
